eVo Bay Area Lan Tournament was held on 4/2/5. I got there at 8:45am and not many people were there.. just eVo.Yin, SoL slaVv and eVaDe. I called sMaQ and he said he and FroZ were going to be there in 10 minutes. So we waited a while. I played a few games with yin. I couldn't figure out whether he threw those games or not. I always tend to question times when I win games against players who I think should beat me. I downloaded aim and bwchart and I was surprised when I saw my APM. It was way higher than my usual the first game - 190 when I usually get like 130s-140s. I thought bwchart was broken.

FroZ was playing a couple of Team Liquid Tournament games. I went on AIM and started seeing if I could get more people to show up because that was the biggest problem we were having - not many people showed up.. some people who said they would come.. didnt =/. yin and slavv even ended up chatting with people on aim on my sc list trying to get people to show up.. very persistently i might add. So if you got an IM from me, it might not have been me talking to you.

I also played a couple of games vs slavv where smaq was supposed to help me. As yin and smaq looked over my shoulder they were joking around and just tried to get me to get my apm up as much as i could and spam as much as i could.. "forget micro, you can win by apm" o.O;; So I did as they told and I kept on moving my mouse around, pressing hotkeys and moving my units around in circles while kinda trying to play hehe.. Result = 194 and 197 APM. Haha. I don't know if it actually worked or not since I got that apm earlier too o.Oa.

Ah so the games started and yin tried to 4 pool froz, who expected the 4 pool since yin is usually toss and he chose zerg. froz went 6 pylon/gateway or something like that so he got his zealot out right when yins lings got there. froz and yin played a long tvp after that where froz ended up winning. Meanwhile, smaq played slavv pvts and lost. I was playing on bnet since I had a double bye according to the original bracket o.O.

FroZ, sMaQ and I took a break and ate lunch at this cheap chinese restaurant nearby. Then we got back and things got even more confusing. Originally, three people were supposed to show up at a later time. They did show up but they said they had no money. o.O? Another guy did show up though and a friend of mine from old school channel cal showed up so they were added on to the bracket.. which got really confusing because we tried to fit 8 people in a 16 person tournament bracket and it wasnt working out so yin did the bracket on paper instead.

I told evade to choose his weakest race when he played vs me. He said it was zerg but I didnt wanna play zvz so he played protoss instead. I lost but I had 210 apm (sorry I'm addicted to checking my APM, blame collegeBored for that). I played slavv and lost. In that game, I did reach my peak apm so far though - 233 O.O. segfault played iscool and iscool won. segfault played slavv in the losers bracket and slavv won. I don't know what other games went on after this because I was playing segfault after we were both eliminated. Shortly after, we had the finals match: froz vs evade (who would've guessed?) and froz won that. I don't have the replays but I believe yin should have them. Thanks to yin for hosting the event! and evade for helping out! and froz for driving up! and to everyone who showed up!
